Hello MPSD Families,

We are in the final weeks of distance learning, and we are committed to continuing to provide meaningful learning opportunities for the next three weeks! The last day of school will remain as scheduled on Thursday, June 11.

Distance Learning will not be in session this Friday, May 22 and Monday, May 25. I hope that you enjoy the Memorial Day weekend, and take time to celebrate with your family.

Student Belongings, Lockers

We are preparing for the end of the school year and will be packing up students’ personal belongings that remain in the classrooms and lockers. Those items will be dropped off at your homes in the coming weeks with help from Brandt Buses. Look for a communication next week from your child(ren)’s school(s) describing the process of delivering student belongings.

Internet Access

If you need help with home Internet service for student learning through the end of the school year, please contact MPSD’s Internet connectivity hotline at 920-663-9930.  Some families may have taken advantage in March of a free 60-day WiFi offer that may be expiring, after which you may start getting billed. Check with your current provider to see if they would extend their free offer, or check this website - - for information on other WiFi discounts.

Summer School

Summer school has been cancelled for June, and we hope to provide student learning opportunities in July and August.  We are committed to providing a safe learning environment and we are working with health officials and CDC guidelines to determine if Summer School will be in-person or virtual.

Graduation and Senior Night

Lincoln High graduation is tentatively rescheduled to Saturday, July 18. We are committed to providing a meaningful graduation ceremony. Like Summer School, we will be monitoring all local, state and federal guidance about safe gatherings during the pandemic. Senior Scholarship Night was presented online last night (May 20). Thank you to all of our local civic and community organizations that provided generous scholarships - and to our MPSD employees who contributed $8,000 for student scholarships.

Next School Year

We are also preparing for what school may look like in September. We hope to have all students and staff back in our buildings on Tuesday, September 1; however, we will prepare contingency plans in the event this is not possible. We have begun discussions about provisions and protocols that need to be in place when students and staff return to our buildings. We will continue to follow return to work safety recommendations from State, County and local health officials.

Thank you for supporting your child’s learning during our time away from each other. We are eager for the time when we can get back together and we will continue to do the best we can to engage all students in the final weeks of distance learning.
