School Board approves April 3 Referendum

ReferendumThe Manitowoc Public School District Board of Education voted to approve placing an operational referendum question on the April 3, 2018 ballot. Voters in MPSD will consider the
request to allow the Board to exceed the state revenue limit by $3.5 million annually to support the District’s operations.

The proposed question will allow for a decrease in school property taxes over the three year period, with the first year seeing a 2.65% increase followed by -2.01% and -1.63% in years two and three.
